 Sony Announces  Official Release of CUH-1200 PS4 Hardware

The 1TB PS4 Ultimate Player Edition launches before the end of June in Japan, and comes to Europe July 15. As for the 500GB model, it also launches in Japan at the end of June. Sony has not yet revealed a date for North America and Europe.

A few weeks ago we discovered the CUH-1200 PS4 model, and today Sony Computer Entertainment officially announced its release worldwide.

Specifically, it's 10 per cent lighter (what, are you carrying it around?) and uses 8 per cent less energy. The surface of the console's HDD bay cover also now comes in a matte finish "giving the system a more casual look".
