This article is a sample of Job Application Letter to guide our young graduates and others who want to write a standard letter of of application to Government, Companies, Hotels, Schools etc. With this sample no employer will have to think twice before considering your application favourable to you.

The letter of application is likely to be the first correspondence you will have with an employer. They will judge you on this letter as to your worthiness of an interview.

Job Application Letter Format

The body of standard job Application letter must have three paragraphs. Now use the job application letter format below as a guideline to create a standard application letters to send to your organization of interest.

Body of Application Letter

Remember that the essence of the body of your job application letter is to let the employer know what position you are applying for, why the employer should select you for an interview, and how you will follow-up. And must be three as i said earlier.

First Paragraph
The first paragraph of your job application letter should include information on why you are writing. Mention the job you are applying for, and where you found the job listing. Include the name of a mutual contact, if you have one.

Middle Paragraph(s)
The next section of your job application letter should describe what you have to offer the employer. Mention specifically how your qualifications match the job you are applying for. Remember, you are interpreting your job resume, not repeating it.

Final Paragraph
Conclude your application letter by thanking the employer for considering you for the position. Include information on how you will follow-up. Please note that you have to choose a good job application cover letter

NOTE: Mind your language: The tone of an application letter should be formal. Words and sentences should be kept on a very formal level. There is no room for slangs, vernacular, shortened words or the like. The conclusion should also be formal. Where the name of the addressee is not known, begin with “Dear sir/madam”. Ensure you go straight to the point, introduce yourself appropriately as well as the purpose of your letter and avoid any tale telling. The nature of your writing language will determine how seriously the application will be taken.
