                Nigerian Student Okusenogu Wins Microsoft Social Good Contest 2015

Microsoft Social Good Contest
 A Nigerian student Saviour Okusenogu 17, from Lagos announced one the winners of Microsoft 2015 YouthSpark Challenge for Change, a contest that asked young people around the world to submit  ideas to address social issues through technology in their communities.
The 2015 Youth Spark Challenge for Change announced 10 grand-prize winners of a global contest that helps young people to turn the causes close to their hearts into tangible ways to do good in the world.

Saviour Okusenogu 17, from Lagos,was among 2015 grand prize winners. Other winners are from Chile, Ecuador, Greece, India, Nepal, United States, and Uruguay.

This year’s winners created compelling solutions to help their community spanning a variety of social issues including education, computer science and digital literacy. See the full list of other winners here!

Saviour Okusenogu said“It’s a very great opportunity for students like me, and for people who want to change their communities with science and technology.

Later this year, these winners will travel to the Nicaragua to learn about social entrepreneurship and development issues.

Microsoft is also outfitting each winner with a $2,500 cash grant, and a Microsoft technology bundle (Surface Pro3, Windows Phone, and Office 365) to help them develop their projects further
