EFCC quizzes Former Ebonyi STATE Governor quizzed by EFCC

The former Governor of Ebonyi State Chief Martin Elechi was on tuesday invited for interrogation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

A source from the EFCC in Abuja  said,Governor Elechi arrived at the commission’s office at 10 a.m.to honour the invitation by EFCC. The son of the former Governor, Nnanna Elechi, was On Jan. 29, invited for interrogation by the EFCC.

The former governor, who left office on May 29, after a second term, could not face the anti-graft agency earlier since he had constitutional immunity against prosecution.

This was confirmed by spokesman of EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren.
