How To Compress Scanned Documents / Picture to 500kb or Less
 The simplest way to compress scanned documents / picture to 500kb or less for web pages or for online application of things like Scholarship Awards, online Job application, online school registration etc is by this use of Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

Steps to compress scanned document / picture to 500kb or less

The following simple steps will help you make your scanned documents / pictures compatible online for your application. This is necessary because any online application requires that your picture or documents is compressed to 500kb or less

Now follow the steps bellow to use your Microsoft Office Picture Manager to compress scanned documents / picture.
  • Drag your document out of the scanned folder and drop on your desktop.
  • Right click on the document / picture. you will see option.
  • Carry your cursor to ''Open With ''. you will see option.
  • Open the document / picture with Microsoft Office Picture Manager.
  • First click on ''Auto Correct'' to make the document brighter.
  • Click on ''Edit Pictures''.
  • By right hand side of your computer you will see options.
  • Click on ''Compress Pictures''. now you will see another options.
  • Click on ''Web Pages''.
  • Finally press Ok and save your document or picture again.
With this your scanned documents / picture has been compressed or resized to the acceptable web page size 500kb or less using Microsoft Office Picture Manager. 

Note: Some software like Picasa Photoscape can do this but using Microsoft Office Picture Manager is easier and more acceptable.
